Implementation is recognised as a major attribute in the
total solution concept. As such, Training courses in both
product and theory are offered to the customer either on-site, at our offices or at our alliance partners maintenance support
centres.
The
aptGroup
provides world class education and training in
product and theory. We provide attendees with intuitive knowledge of why
operational parameters change in equipment, how they fail and what
practical steps to take to prevent failure. Our training
courses do not have a sales orientation but a solid
"how to" problem-solving and prevention
philosophy. We deal with real life plant problems.
Training courses
provided by the aptGroup of companies are recommended for all
maintenance supervisors and engineers, predictive
maintenance personnel, tradesmen, machinists, technicians and operators - in fact, anyone who is
responsible for maintenance cost-effectiveness and who
seek strong practical skills to troubleshoot plant and fix it so it runs better than new.

...and
what they had to say
“I
picked up some great diagnostic tools to use in my day to day work”.
“This
has been the best class I have ever attended”.
“I
was able to comprehend more from this course than any other I have been
on”.
“The
most valuable seminar I have attended – very lucid, but most
importantly, provided practical solutions to problems.
The instructor worked us hard and made sure we understood”.
“Excellent
information on how mechanical problems affect plant performance – and
how to fix them”. “This
instructor has first–hand knowledge and years of experience”.
“I would like to see this company brought back for further
training, like alignment”.
“Of
all the classes I have attended, I learned the most in this one”.
“Excellent
descriptions of Maintenance Principles – exceptional class”.
MAINTENANCE
– a
very profitable investment.
A
Solomon Associates report on 68 refineries world– wide comes to the
following, surprising conclusions:
1
Companies with the highest plant availability spend the least on
maintenance.
2
On average, 63% of maintenance budget is spent on equipment repair - only
8% on Reliability.
However, companies spending least on maintenance, spend a much
higher percentage on Reliability improvement.
3
Trades personnel in successful companies look after Four times as many
pieces of equipment as those do in the least successful.
4
The most successful companies view repairs as a result of poor maintenance
policy. Recurring
failures are unacceptable and successful companies invest significantly in
the development of their tradesmen.
TRAINING
- also a profitable investment!
The
Industrial Distributors Association report says:
>
Over
80% of the estimated $40 billion spent on
formal training each year comes form only 5,000 companies (less
than 1% of all employers)
>
Only 200 companies spend more than 2% of their payroll on formal training.
>
Most of this money is targeted at college educated personnel in sales,
marketing and management – instead of the line workers – who need it
the most and, WHO
PROVIDE THE GREATEST PAYBACK
